1 - How to Get Started in Miniatures


Here is a relatively simple way to get started in miniatures ... using an old breadbox from the thirties and dollhouse furniture also from the thirties, you have created a miniature setup. There is no need to start with an expensive dollhouse (the milk bottle in the background gives an indication of the time period which the breadbox is from):



Here is another idea
... building a dollhouse room from a cigar box and a shoebox lid:


Note the painting in the foreground -- this was done by my husband Ted
who is an experienced artist, in this case of miniature paintings.

......or you might want to try converting an end table
into a two room dollhouse as follows:
